I had only seen it in movies – people experiencing pain so pronounced that they would scream out involuntarily. Turns out that’s a real thing, and when I experienced it myself, I tried to bargain with every devil I ever crossed. What I really needed was Dr. Simonds. She understood exactly what my issue was, she explained my options, we made a plan and booked the surgery.

When I woke up, the pain was gone. I do not take opiates – she helped me manage the post op without the use of narcotics and my issue was SOLVED.
