Dr. Suman Koganti received his medical degree from Kakatiya Medical College in India and completed his surgical residency at the Bronx-Care Health System of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. He then went on to complete a Hepato-pancreato-biliary (HPB) and Liver Transplant Fellowship at Beth Israel Lahey Health in Burlington, MA.
Dr. Koganti is board certified in surgery and is a member of the American Society of Transplant Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons, and both the Americas Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association and the International Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association. He has authored numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and has served as a reviewer for high impact journals like Journal of the American College of Surgeons, Cell Transplantation and several others.
Dr. Koganti has a strong passion for treating diseases of the Pancreas, Liver, Gallbladder and Bile Ducts. His expertise in minimally invasive techniques (both Robotic and Laparoscopic surgery) is geared towards providing high quality care to his patients. In addition to English, Dr. Koganti is fluent in Teluga and Hindi.
In his free time, Dr. Koganti enjoys spending time with his family, swimming, travelling, listening to music and playing tennis.
